Hello!
I'M CHINA KOCH (pronounced like cook).
Based in Bowling Green, Ohio
I'm the owner and lead photographer, designer, and videographer of China Rae Studios.
So, what's my story?
Back in high school, I was obsessed with taking selfies and editing photos on a website called "picnik" and
posting them on myspace.
Yikes, I'm old in internet years.
Once college rolled around, I thought I wanted to be an accountant.
Yeah. That didn’t last long.
After carefully considering my options,
I decided to follow my heart and
switch my major to
Visual Communications Technology,
or VCT for short.
I immediately fell in love with learning all about photography, videography, &
creating graphic designs.
Eventually, I graduated with my Associates Degree from
Northwest State Community College & went on to graduate with my
Bachelor's Degree from BGSU in VCT.
After graduation, I was able to start my career in the Marketing Department at the Taylor Automotive Family.
Currently, I'm the Digital Media Manager. I fully run the YouTube Channel,
help coordinate events, and
take pictures regularly for the
Taylor Automotive Family
social media accounts.
Over the years, I have had many people ask me to take photos of different life events and it's always an honor to be entrusted with capturing timeless memories for families.
Thank you to everyone that has cheered for me along the way and thank you, especially to the ones that asked me to capture moments early on when I was still in school and learning what I was doing.

I have had the honor of second shooting weddings with Alyssa since 2017 and I can never thank her enough for the confidence she gave me as a photographer. Luckily, we are close friends outside of the wedding circle and I tell her that all the time.
I'm also so incredibly thankful I got to meet Michelle through Taylor Auto! She came in with confidence and with so much knowledge in the photography and marketing field. When she asked me to second shoot with her, there was no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to learn from someone like her!
I'm hired on a second photographer for these two lovely ladies pretty often, so you might see me working with them at weddings.

My first job was being a barista at Starbucks on the turnpike.
What's my music jam?

But typically anything other than country.
I also love a good rock concert.
I love to travel.
My husband and I have been to Portland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Florida, Tennessee to name a few.
Our dream is to visit
Japan someday.
Yes, I am one of those girls that got told to read
A Court of Thorns and Roses and is now obsessed with reading Romance Fantasy.
Fourth wing is my
Roman Empire.
I love spooky stuff &
I love tattoos.

My Husband, Jon, and I met while we were working at Walmart together in the automotive department. We were coworkers that turned into friends and then more.
We were married on October 27th, 2019.
